So today, Sunday, the big Animal Crossing New Horizons summer fishing tournament is behind us. How did it go for you? We actually pulled quite a bit of fish from the rivers, lakes and the sea. To be honest, our arms hurt a lot today. You signed up for CJ and took part in the tournament, didn't you? If not, check out what you missed here (summer fishing tournament).

The tournaments are always a big highlight on the island. The whole day your islanders scurry around with fishing rods, like yesterday, or for the insecticus tournament with nets and try to catch as many animals as possible for Animal Crossing giveaway. Both CJ and Carlson are two really relaxed tournament directors - this makes the hunt a lot of fun.
The tournaments are also a good opportunity to top up your account with bells. You can sell your collected fish and bugs at very good conditions on the tournament days. Everyone who loves the musical dog K.K. Silder have already lured them to their island, unfortunately had to forego a concert yesterday due to the tournament. But no worry! You can rely on the famous musician, he will visit your island this Sunday and serenade one or the other until late in the evening. By the way, when he plays you a new song, you get it as a present for your home ... but you probably already know that.
Holidays and seasonal items
After we were a bit disappointed that July after E3 somehow didn't bring any real changes (where are Kofi and Co?), We still want to make our time on the island as pleasant as possible. By the way, Tom Nook now has a new special item. You can buy a cool Phrygian hat at Nook Shopping at the NookPortal in the town hall until July 20th. This item is dedicated to the French national holiday on July 14th and costs 880 bells. Until July 22nd, you can purchase a steering wheel door decoration for 1300 Animal Crossing bells, which is dedicated to the Japanese Day of the Sea. In Japan it is called Umi no Hi and it always takes place on the third Monday in spring.
Incidentally, the Phrygen cap is now a symbol of France's new freedom, which the people fought for on July 14, 1789 by storming the Bastille. This was the beginning of the French Revolution.
So it goes on in summer
Even if the summer is obviously assuming similar proportions as last year. You can still experience some great things on your island. We'll crash our way back to the beach, watch the butterflies and in the evening there will be a small campfire after KK Slider has given its concert.
This ACNH fishing tournament was fantastic, and I am glad I got to be a part of it. I asked my dog training dallas colleagues to be a part of this tournament with me, and it was a wonderful experience for us.
