COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Through culturally-based initiatives and collaborative relationships with agency partners, the GPCR team extends its impact beyond classrooms and workshops by engaging directly with the community. Center for Prevention Services provides resource connections and creates a safe space where families and neighbors can come together to take practical steps toward safety and wellness. These community-centered events foster trust, open dialogue, and shared responsibility for prevention.

SAFE AND SECURE

Our Safe and Secure Event provides a safe, confidential way to dispose of unused or expired medications. These events help prevent misuse, protect the environment, and offer information on safely storing and managing medications at home. Participants can also receive lock boxes, DisposeX containers, and lock pouches to keep their medications secure.

MEDICINE TAKE-BACK

Our Safe and Secure Events give community members a chance to responsibly dispose of unused or expired medications. By providing a safe and confidential drop-off option, these events help prevent misuse, protect the environment, and promote a healthier, safer community.

TABLE TALK INITIATIVES

The Center for Prevention Services’ Table Talk Initiatives bring together youth, families, and leaders to discuss challenges, share resources, and build strategies that strengthen relationships. Through honest communication and collective problem-solving, Table Talks empower participants to reduce risks, support one another, and cultivate stronger, more resilient communities.
